He was playing too carelessly since he got the 1st yellow, zero awareness from him. So stupid and unnecessary.

Would be quite an achievement seeing how other teams struggle to win against Liverpool with 9 men on

I can’t believe someone got a second yellow vs us. I was almost certain the ref wasn’t gonna do it …

The commentators talking about how the ref should just be more lenient is exactly why they cant win. Even when they get it obviously right people moan

      What station are you on?

My stream were sad he got the second yellow but blamed Young for forcing the ref’s hand.

To be fair the first was never a yellow.

Tsimikas had already committed three fouls, one of which to stop a break and yet somehow Young’s first foul (which was in the Liverpool half) was a yellow.

The biggest issues with refs isn’t the clangers as VAR is slowly fixing that, it’s the inconsistency in the small decisions, an inconsistency that tends to favour the bigger teams

I am baffled by people having a problem with the first booking. Having a problem with Tsimikas not getting booked is fine, but Young stuck his leg out and initiates knee on knee contact to bring a winger down and stop an attack. That’s always a yellow.

A Liverpool player not getting booked several minutes later for a similar challenge is totally irrelevant to the question of whether Young’s is a yellow.

It doesn’t have to be dangerous to be a a yellow. Sliding tackles where you get nowhere near the ball are regularly yellow cards, especially when they prevent the opposition player get into the area like this one. It’s an incredibly obvious yellow card and I’m genuinely baffled people are arguing otherwise.

Then why wasn’t Kovacic sent off against arsenal? Plenty of sliding challenges don’t get near the ball and aren’t yellows

Isn’t that the first second yellow for a Liverpool opponent in something ridiculous like a decade?

This felt like the most ineffectual double yellow I’ve ever seen. Like Young just decided at the beginning of the game he was not going to see half time.
