I don’t know why people insist on putting fan in inverted commas when things like this happen.

I get that there’s a desire to dissociate from such scum, as if to say “they are not one of us”

But we need to accept these are fans, fans who love the game and love their club - and this particular one is a racist twat. We need to stop acting as if this is some outside element, or “not a true fan”.
