Kane is for sure the best 9, Bellingham best CM but can’t say they are best 2, Mbappe and others still exist, always debatable

I’m not saying Haaland is better than Kane but I think it’s a disservice to say that Kane is better than Haaland “for sure”.

After decades of English fans and media overhyping our playing… are we finally in a position where we can actually rightfully call ourselves the favourites heading into the euros?

No because two players don’t make a squad. France is still stronger overall.

England maybe 2nd or 3rd favourites on paper.

Kanes numbers are great but idk see how he has been the best striker this season. Even in Budensliga Guirassy and Tel have been more impressive. Saying he is the best nine when he isnt even the best scorer in the league and half of his goals have been scored in 7-0 and 8-0 games is a bit much

I sincerely can’t imagine why would anyone make the case for Kane to be even in the top 10 right now. Bellingham is in great form (probably the best form in the world right now), but the season has just started and we should see how it develops for him. As a Brazilian, these debates are particularly annoying. Neymar and Vini both had stretches in which they performed as well or better than Bellingham is doing right now in the last few seasons and they never got this level of insane hype this quickly, with Vini failing to get even to the shortlist of 12 players of the best last year (while Declan Rice did). The way in which English-speaking media shapes the debates and perceptions is insane.

Likely yes, Haaland is a menace but a known quantity and we only see what Mbappe is capable of doing around 5 times per season.

Poundits about Lewandowski when scoring 40-50+ goals per season for 8 years straight incl. 3 straight seasons of more goals than games: “he needs to leave the Bundesliga if he wants to get respect as the best #9 in the world, also a record breaking 41 goals in 29 games is good and all but Messi won Copa America before playing awful the rest of the year for PSG so he deserve the ballon d’or”

Pundits about Kane after 3 months at Bayern: “OMG Is he the best player in the world right now ?!?!?1oneone”
