Abandoned. I looked into his code a good bit a few months back. It had no topics. Instead it was just a post, with upvote and downvote. Because it’s so easy to create an account to make fake votes he had it set up to where you had to pay a small fee for each post. So like a couple sats.
This is problematic for several reasons.
- Paying to post is Gay
- I agree votes don’t work on nostr and without votes all he really had was a shitty timeline.
So there was nothing to use from his project. I could re implement it pretty easy now that I have a feel for the protocol and I use golang at work so it would be easy for me to work with his old code (written in golang) but there is just no use case there.
I think what people really want is communities with sticked threads,moderators over nostr protocol. This wasn’t that at all. Just a really poor voting mechanism.
