The war in Ukraine is “existential for our Europe and for France”, Mr Macron said in the interview on France 2 and TF1.

“Do you think that the Poles, the Lithuanians, the Estonians, the Romanians and the Bulgarians could remain at peace for a second [in the event of a Russian victory in Ukraine]?” he asked. “If Russia wins this war, Europe’s credibility would be reduced to zero.”

Maybe if we all pool our efforts together, then maybe we can match North Korea production?
Remember folks we are up against industry giants here, we can’t expect to be able to match them in just a couple of years.

There’s a few things Europe isn’t good at:

      • Weapons and weapon systems are developed independently. That results in incompatible weapons and very expensive production costs because they aren’t produced at scale and multiple versions of the same are developed by the different countries/manufacturers.
      • The only military international logistics and organization that European countries currently know is NATO. Outside the NATO framework organization is completely chaotic.
      • Similar to the first two points: The European countries don’t have their military interests aligned and can’t agree on deployment, funding and procurement of weapons. Bureaucracy stands in the way of scaling up production.

On the other hand: Europe is rich and technologically advanced. We’ve seen in the first two years since the Russian invasion that technological superiority can outpace the sheer mass of human capital that Russia can throw at the front.

He’s right. if we dont stop those russian cunts right now, the rest of europe will face them in a few years again. Putin and his fellowship is cancer and you don’t let it grow, you cut it out and fight against it with everything you have and sadly Europe has still to learn this.

He’s just repeating what history, Ukrainians, and all free people who share a border with Russia are screaming at the top of their lungs.

Yet again a bellicose, authoritarian power in Europe unilaterally seizes the land of their neighbor and all the would-be allies are slow to act or even try to appease the aggressor. Where have I heard this before?

Well, France needs the rest of Europe to align or it doesn’t matter much what France is doing on its own. They have the best nuclear arsenal in Europe, but that alone doesn’t enable them to act independently.
