In the ten years since I took this photo the trail has been abandoned and the tree has rotted away.
They renamed the town on my passport.
“Where were ya born?”
“I can’t say it right”
“Write it here”
“I can’t remember the special letters.”
I’m just glad you didn’t say it’s gone because it’s been turned into apartments or a shopping arena…

Partly, there is a 4 lane bypass being built there.
Ah, bummer
Almost reflex downvoted, but it’s not your fault.

Is this the Earth, beneath my feet?
Sat by the river and it made me complete.Oh, simple thing, where have you gone?
I’m getting old and I need something to rely onAnd if you have a minute, why don’t we go
Talk about it somewhere only we know?
This could be the end of everything
So why don’t we go somewhere only we know?I just finished chainsaw training so I can help maintain trails by removing hazards like that. There is a reason we call tes over trails like that ‘widow makers’. If you don’t help maintain good things we lose them.
This looks SO much like the conservation land that was behind my childhood back yard in Massachusetts
