A US tech firm is catching flak for placing a discriminatory job ad requiring not only for native-born U.S. citizens to apply, but that they are looking for “whites.”

Or like so many other businesses, they don’t have anyone looking at the postings and just accept whatever until someone objects.

They outsourced posting the job ad to India…

And this is what they gave them

This information, marked “Don’t share with candidates”, was intended to be hidden from applicants. “It is shameful that in the 21st century, we continue to see employers using ‘whites only’ and ‘only US-born’ job postings to lock out otherwise eligible job candidates of colour,” Assistant Attorney General Kristen Clarke of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division said in the statement.

Then the company reached a settlement, and just has to pay a fine, no consequences for clearly systemic discriminatory hiring practices.

No recompense for the minorities who haven’t been hired…

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it till my face turns blue:

Settlement culture has destroyed our legal system.

If you have enough money to bribe people (even the government apparently) then there’s never any real consequences for your actions.

I just wish when we had a Dem running the federal government, they’d hold the federal government to a higher standard.

But apparently having standards other than the letter by someone’s name makes you anti-democratic and a trump supporting Russian chatbot…

So we all need to clap that Biden’s DOJ charges them this fine and say that he’s the next FDR again.
