I mean, they did donate to them, and BLM did destroy a lot of local businesses, and Amazon is pretty evil.

Not the worst conspiracy theory I’ve heard of.

This actually wouldn’t be the craziest thing Amazon has ever done. Even a broken clock is right twice a day…

He’s right. It wasn’t a bunch of people pissed off that cops murder people and get away with it. It was a super successful corporate marketing move! /s

Except for all the actual hatred that drives the machine, and not wanting to give any more attention to those whack jobs, I will admit that a sitcom following the bumbling, doomed to fail presidential campaign of the worst candidate in history could be really funny.

This would require a too big of an investment to actually be effective enough. The cost benefit isn’t just quite there. The riots have been very localised after all.

Remember that conservatives think that entire cities were burned down during the riots.

Them: “THE CITIES ARE BURNT TO A CRISP”

Me, living in a city: Looks outside window “The fuck?”

Turns on news and sees one dumpster on fire somewhere downtown.

“If you peel back the onion, what you find is that the businesses that are most connected and most devoted to destroying our values are also benefiting financially from it,”

JD Vance learning in real time that the social moralizing and virtue signaling of ideas like Pride, diversity, acceptance and inclusion, etc.(i.e. “destroying our values”) of massive corporations is 100% market tested strategy to get you to buy their products. What a revelation, JD!

Wait until you realize that the giant corporations that moralize conservative ideals have exactly as much to do their true ideals and are actually just as motivated by profit as the lefty corporations that you hate. If gays became the biggest buyers of Ford F150’s tomorrow, I can guarantee you that by the following weekend you would see ads with rainbow-clad lifted trucks cruising down the street in a pride parade. The rustic working class rural cowboy aesthetic they appeal to is fan service, JD. They are attempting to secure their market demographic, JD. It has fuck all to do with the ideals of the wealthy Ivy League business school CEO or corporate chairpeople that have never so much as put on a pair of work boots, let alone driven a fence post or loaded a truck bed full of cow feed, or whatever.

I welcome the newfound skepticism of corporate motivations and dislike of multinational conglomerates seizing power and control of our economies and governments. I encourage more of it. But, dude. You gotta get your head out of your ass and see the big picture, and it’s not “woke Oreos”.

this reads like jd vance was in collusion with amazon rather than him spouting crazy nonsense. I realize there is a colon but when you read quickly the colon takes a bit to digest and realize what it is actually saying. This is why it should be like jd vance claims that amazon…zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Vance and the Trump campaign are just making shit up, as always.

Amazon has a workforce with a lot of black and brown folks. I imagine a significant amount of employees in 2020 wanted to add BLMgn to Smile and employee matching programs.

And that said, Amazon only allowed employees and customers to donate to BLMgn for a few months. The charity sucked at filing its financial disclosures, and Amazon’s finance team had to kick them to the curb during tax season.

Amazon does probably do this, but burning down a retail store wouldn’t hurt their competition.

Tinfoil hat time, the equity firm that bought toys r us, bain capital, somehow got people to agree that they could use the equity of toys r us as collateral, then heavily leveraged themselves to buy out a bunch of companies that competed with toys r us and therefore Amazon, and after buying out all these companies, collapsed in on themselves dragging all of them down with it.

Amazon already handled a lot of toys r us’s logistics at the time, so it was a nice boon for them to already have the infrastructure in place to support that market when suddenly toys r us starts making highly risky leveraging decisions.

What, a company with a lot of black employees adds BLM to their charity matching programs during a time when everyone is doing similar stuff.

    Impossible. It’s clearly a conspiracy.

I kinda don’t understand why we don’t see more defamation cases around political lies. There should be a special fast lane in the courts for these.

      Like the swift boat shit.
