I am a library aid for my highschool, these books were once taken off the shelves and legally banned.

However due to many authors and publishers threatening to sue (and some actually following through), 36 of the 176 books banned have returned.

Hope it continues. And sorry if this breaks the politics rule even if it doesn’t show a politician.

I am serious, i’m not the school librarian myself. I’m just the assistant who gets to have a semi-free period in my senior year. She had all the banned books out away in a box that she then scanned and put to the side for me to put on the book cart then back on the shelves.

But yeah we definitely didn’t have all 33 books lol

If this is political, so is everything else-- people politicize everything lately, much to the detriment of the kids. In this case, all I see are some lovely books going back on the shelves, hopefully accompanied by more to come. Thanks for sharing!

I’ll buy your library ten books. You pick. Multiples of the same book or one each of particular books. Lemme know.

Please don’t choose to use this to ask for prohibitively expensive books.
