I got put on it back in January to help with the side effects I was getting from bupropion and so far it has been a miracle drug for me. The bupropion was really good at treating my depression but it amped up my anxiety so bad that I was just as nonfunctional. The buspirone almost completely eliminated that anxiety. So far I’ve had no sideffects from it and normally I get really bad sideeffects when starting antidepressants. My only concern is that I tend to gain a tollerance for most meds very quickly and I can already feel that starting with the buspirone. But that’s eventually been the case with every med I’ve been on so that’s not really a mark against buspirone.

All in all I have been very happy with it. However I’m not sure how well it works on it’s own because I’ve only ever been on it with bupropion which does most of the heavy lifting in treating my actual depression.

I’ve been taking it for anxiety for a little over a year now. Unfortunately it wasn’t enough by itself. At higher doses (15mg) I was getting a brain fog side effect, I now take 10mg 3x a day along with some other anti-anxiety drugs.
