Everyone has some of the traits, but they don’t have ADHD unless it has enough negative impact to be a disorder.

The problem being a lot of people with it might think the negative impact is a personal failing.

Plus it raises the question of people who would otherwise be said to have it but have developed successful coping mechanisms independently, but what else are you going to do for something you can’t physically test for?

I don’t think I have ADHD but I know I have something. My youngest sibling is extremely autistic. I grew up during a time where ADHD was just called ADD and most people thought it was fake.

I’ve tried meds after I got out of the Marines and it messed me up really, really bad so I’m very reluctant to look any further into it.

Same. I was diagnosed with OCD decades ago but yet I seem to have these sorts of tendencies as well.

@Spurton there’s a lot of overlap of symptoms between OCD and ADHD! Worth looking into but your psychiatrist can give you the official word, of course

No, we know everyone else do these things sometimes. The humor is acknowledging how often it happens to us and our inability to manage them without assistance or medication because we have a disorder.
