And she was 100% supportive in the most cute and wholesome way imaginable. So that was a huge relief.

However, I then told her that I’ve also been trying out a new name, and she was obviously very curious as to what that name is. She didn’t mind if I wasn’t comfortable telling her, but I wanted to tell her.

So I had to muster up some more courage, because it’s the same name she has. Even spelled the same.

And to my second big relief in one day, she didn’t mind at all. What can I say, it’s a beautiful name, she said, which I could only agree with.

I know her well, otherwise I wouldn’t have told her anything, but I was still worried. To say that this took some weight off my chest is almost an understatement.

So anyway, I just wanted to share my excitement. I’ll be riding this high for quite a while.

Now I need to get some plans for halloween going.

Awesome! Thats a really big step. You can be proud of that. Youre lucky to have such a supportive friend. Just out of curiosity, did you choose that name because of her or do you just like it in general? My first thought was ‘I probably wouldnt choose the name of anyone I know’, but I cant really relate

I wanted a name that works in both my languages, ideally plus English too, without getting massacred too hard by any dialect native to the regions I call home.

The pool of names that meet these criteria and are ones that I actually like is really small, and this one happened to be my favourite out of these.

Having the spelling be the same too, now that was unintentional. I only realized after the fact, which made it all the more awkward for me
