      The post explains the methodology for the calculations and that the goal is to get ballpark figures which allows relative comparisons of one company to another. They are not exact but they don’t exactly need to be.

      You can see how big of a difference it makes when looking at worldwide revenue compared to profit, so clearly taking a percent of one number is very different than the other. Of course the studios need to pay writers and actors more, but one of my pet peaves is poor data visualizations.
