Thanks for at least addressing some of my points.

So all “Wagner” presence left in the world is now Russian MOD.

Then why even call it Wagner anymore? But that’s a minor point.

And if the videos prove it or not is separate from the point I made.

Fine. Then provide some other evidence, please.

Doing the most damage to your enemy and keeping them off balance is the “game”. And if the MOD has to retask troops to protect their foreign holdings, Ukraine wins double.

In this case, by MOD you mean the Russian MOD? That makes some sense.

Russians can stop all of that by withdrawing to pre 2014 borders.

Undoubtedly, and in my opinion that’s the only option worth discussing.

YW, Civil discourse is what I’m here for :).

The Russian MOD kept the various pmc’s for one of several reasons, the most obvious would be:

      • Absorbing the soldiers completely takes time (keeping the command structure in place partially)
      • This way they can keep separate pay structures (via the companies that founded them, other pay scales etc)
      • Marketing (foreign countries would not want Russian military on their soil, but via a PMC there is some form of “deniability”)
      • The powers that be, have not come to an agreement on how to split up the carcass of the Wagner holdings across the world (apparently they hold gold mines and more).

But in the end all the various pmc’s fall under the MOD umbrella now.
