it has been my observation that those who cry the most about “freedom of speech”, especially in moderated communities like this one, are usually met interested in their “freedom of speech” amounts to wanting to engage in harassment, bullying, violence, and hate-speech without consequences, and, all to often, kiddie porn. All one has to do it take a look at “free speech” lemmy instances to see what I mean— it’s full of the things I just described, sometimes worse.

now, I’m not accusing you of these things, but reasonable limits on speech protect the community from this stuff, and I can’t imagine a reasonable argument against such reasonable limits— and you’re here defending a well-known troll and bully, not for example, someone forbidden from practicing their religion or a same-sex couple trying to get married. This makes it very difficult to take your argument at face value rathe than simply an objection that a hateful bully and troll might face consequences for their actions.
