New Mexico prosecutors plan to recharge Alec Baldwin with involuntary manslaughter over a fatal on-set shooting in October 2021.
The prosecutors dismissed charges against the Emmy award-winning actor in April, just two weeks before his trial was due to start.
But “additional facts” merit bringing the case again before a grand jury next month, they said.
What does that even mean? Did a no parking sign spring up out of the ground next to your car?
Stopped (but not parked) in a no parking zone, and water condensation (it was a cold day, and tank nearly empty) caused the car to stall. Had to walk off to get gas to dilute the water, and when I returned a patrol officer was by my car waiting. It was technically like running out of gas, which is considered here as one of those things that are avoidable. The fine was only like 50$ equivalent.
And the fact that the car wasn’t parked but broken down didn’t help…? Yeesh.
If it had been a proper breaking down, I’m sure it would’ve. But like I said, running out of gas is considered avoidable and the drivers fault here.
