X is rolling out audio and video calling features that nobody asked for.

This move is a part of the plan to transform the platform into an “everything app” like WeChat, following Elon Musk’s ambition.

    I still haven’t made a single video call ever I think. Don’t see the point of looking at your face when you probably should’ve texted in the first place.

      Maybe you need to lead a more exciting life so that you have things to show off when you call people.

      I video call with my boyfriend every few days or so, and since we’re on opposite ends of the Atlantic Ocean, it’s a really nice way to connect on a deeper level than a basic audio call.

      It’s very well established that a massive amount of human communication happens through faces. Is it really that hard to imagine that people might like seeing the face of a person they care about?
