I used to mod some large subreddits, including a default sub for a bit. Spent like 15 years and was there since the Digg exodus. I’ve seen enough dumb shit from entitled weirdos for multiple lifetimes haha
Yeah I molded/r/3dprinting, and ran promotional contests that massively increased the userbase.
Then they banned me for posting some nipple (… and engaging some trolls lol, it wasn’t JUST the nipple). But it was a post about 3d printed pasties so…
That sounds about right given some of the backlash and things I’d seen regarding earnest contests and giveaways. Fuck em! Lemmy has been quite the breath of fresh air in ways :)
