This is 0.01% of CA’s prison budget so people can have access to counseling and a handful of people can have surgery so they’re not brutally raped in prison.
Having people come out of jail more fucked up than when they went in doesn’t help anyone. It just continues to the cycle of crime and violence.

Sadly the sexual assault and violence is happening from the people abusing this program and transferring to womens prisons. Tax payer dollars should not be spent for any gender transitioning care, I will always support an adults right to do what they wish on their own dime, but this, and forcing parents to transition their kids is where the Democratic party lost me.
Gender transitioning care is the reason I didn’t kill myself.

Just like my aunt had to pay $130,000 for a kidney? I don’t know what country you’re in but yes that is how the American healthcare system works, you pay for the procedures you want/need.
