Trump is ineligible, just like someone under the age of 35. So don’t care, if they’re stupid enough to waste funding and airtime on a non-viable player, that’s their problem.

Sucks when your monster comes back and bites your ass off. Epitome of Leopards at my face, I believe I am applying that correctly

There’s a very real chance he’s not found to be ineligible, and runs. It sounds like in that scenario, he’s slightly favored to win.

Even if true, I don’t see the Supreme Court making him ineligible without a conviction, and I don’t see them marking him an insurrectionist while the court case is still pending.

Doesn’t require any of that. Read the 13th, his culpabillity is already an established fact (even at the lowest level, nobody disagrees that he is culpable and satisfies the criteria in 13th -> ineligible).

Trump’s eligibility is going to be decided by a judicial system that he spent his previous term stacking. He’s going to face zero repercussions if he is elected again, and then heads will start rolling for everyone who stood in his way.

Yeah, unfortunately there’s zero chance they’re going to make him ineligible. Certainly not in time for it to matter.

I wouldn’t be anywhere near as worried if Biden weren’t pulling this Palestine crap. Obviously people aren’t going to change their vote over what’s going here but voter apathy is a thing.

This is going to be yet another all hands on board election coming up, and some of that gerrymandering got worse.

Au contraire, I belive the penultimate court of appeal is writing up the decision affirming he is ineligible and I believe SCOTUS is going to pass o the case and send the buck to Congress to restore his eligibillity which won’t happen.

        Interesting times ahead 🤠

Legally speaking, this is what they should do, but it wouldn’t be the first time they’ve gone against legal precedence or the plain language of the Constitution.

The stakes hit home too much in this case. If the President has king-like immunity, Biden or any Dem president can just get rid of them anf Trump and anyone else. If Trump thinks the Dems are gonna hand the keys to a dictator, he’s beyond delusional. I can just imagine his speec: why won’t you let me fuck around anf find out again?! Sir, this IS the finding out part 🪦

Whatever they find is gonna apply to Biden and if one side wants to play those cards if they had the power, I have zero issue with the Dems denying them that and finding a new path forward, starting with new SCOTUS judges
