I am unable to choose between the 2. I need some advantage/disadvantage to make me decide one I love the Aegis UI but I hear that 2FAS is more secure. I would also like to know which of the 2 options is closer to FOSS “philosophy”.

What’s insecure about Aegis? It’s foss, offline, encrypted, and password protected.
Aegis is better, but 2FAS can backup codes to cloud and it is only Google… Aldo check ente Auth if you need cloud backup or sync, one cool feature is you can access your codes via web ui, which is very usefull. Both ente and Aegis can close themselves when you click the code (and copy to clipboard), which is very convenient feature and 2FAS can not do it.
