When I wrote establishment Dems, I was mostly referring to the corporate wing of the party who punch down at the left – i.e., people who probably wouldn’t vote for Trump no matter what, and who sit out the election when the party f**ks their preferred candidate over for two presidential election cycles in a row.
And then you have statements like this, which reek of elitism and only help solidify support for fake populists like Trump.
