Crazy video. His last post on Facebook before the event.

Many of us like to ask ourselves, ‘What would I do if I was alive during slavery? Or the Jim Crow South? Or apartheid? What would I do if my country was committing genocide?’ The answer is, you’re doing it. Right now.

This protest is a stupid waste of life. I don’t know what convinced him to throw away his life for a few days of media headlines. Alive he could have made a bigger difference. This war is already on the news all around the world, he is not raising any additional awareness.

it’s sad. i don’t know how much good he would have done being enlisted though. i’ve heard that the contracts basically say the government owns you.

He made the ultimate sacrifice to stand in opposition of the government that owned him, Aaron Bushnell, we will never forget your name!

He could have quit his job and become an aid worker and done activism while volunteering.

Quit his job? Well he could try becoming a conscientious objector but the process for getting there might not be that different from being set on fire.

He did what he consider impactful and worth it. Some might not agree, but whatever he did took crazy determination.
