Emrakul finally reveals what she wanted with the moon: to smash it into New Phyrexia. This is not particularly enlightening.

Thanks! I wanted to make it splash without being too strong. I don’t think she jumps too far above the power level of her other printings. (Extra turns are usually better than one free spell, and she’s a lot easier to remove than she has been before). I also made it each player rather than just an opponent so that you could always know at least what you had that you could put out there.

Just gotta catch them “target attacking creature becomes blocked” effects. Or maybe she really wants to [[ram through]].

I’m pretty sure that came up when I was workshopping this with my cousin and I just never fixed it. The protection clause was mostly just trying to match her other versions in a new way.

But she can’t be blocked due to, you know, protection from creatures. She would however be great in a deck based around Ram Through.

Yeah, but if an effect was printed on an instant that said “target creature becomes blocked” she wouldn’t deal any damage that combat without trample, even though there’s no creature blocking her. I don’t think the situation exists right now, and I definitely didn’t put it in this set, so I’m just taking out my ass here. She shouldn’t have both.
