“people should be paid less” is what the people paying us want you to say. Maybe it’s not “x people should be paid less” but rather “you should be paid more”.

Don’t hold resentment for people who are scraping by like the rest of us. If you’re resentful that they are paid too much then do some self reflection and realize you’re just mad because you feel like you aren’t paid enough. “Their job is so easy, anyone could do it” is just an excuse hiding your envy.

So stop trying to belittle those who found a way to survive, and focus on yourself. You think you deserve more than them? Prove it. Yo back to school, demand a raise, switch jobs. Envy is very transparent.

Things already are difficult the way they are. Do you understand the consequences of making them earn less? The stress this will put in their lives? Have some compassion. So many people deserve way more money in this world, specially those that do not earn much.
