You know, this “2/3rds of them are women and children!” argument is so paper thin. Every society is going to be 2/3rds women and children.

I’m sure the men don’t want to die, but hey fuck them; they’re men!

      You’re nitpicking opposition to genocide.

Reporting from the UK indicates around 9000 of the dead are Hamas operators. Hamas needs to go ASAP, hopefully they don’t take more women and children with them.

While it does get grating to keep hearing men excluded as if they’re all combatants, the less cynical interpretation is that woman and children are unambigiously non-combatants. In the overall context of the incredibly dehumanizing language used to describe these killings it’s probably one of less harmful framings in my view.

It’s simply a way to tug on the heart strings of people who know nothing of war.

Oh I misread your comment. Nevermind, you’re someone who takes joy in the death of civilians but is hung up on the use of language about men?

…destroy everything that supports Hamas. Everything.

This is called “genocide”. People with a sense of ethics oppose genocide.

Comparing innocent Palestinian children to 18th century slaveholders is a gross attempt at justifying genocide.
