      I mean… It’s not a tank. That’s just marketing. It’s heavy and made of steel. But not a tank. Wheels and axles can still easily be broken and the battery is it’s own nightmare.

      They aren’t literal tanks just a big heavy unpainted car.

        I was responding to a fender bender. And for that the paintless steel is perfect.

        I should have made it clear that it’s only in that regard a tank.

          Right. But again is it? The bumpers are still plastic and will tear and break off just like a normal car so that’s no better and where the hit would likely be, and then it still crumples and the metal can sheer at higher speeds, which means replacing it more likely than welding it.

          So side hits maybe? But still have those awful plastic wheel well covers and considering door electronics will be replaced it’s back to same effort as a regular car.

          What is solved by it being unpainted steel other than minor scratches? Cause dents can be pulled from painted aluminum as well.
