I’m still cool with super hero films. What I am getting sick of is seeing the origin stories a dozen times as they reboot shit constantly. I want new stories; not the same story told a hundred different ways.
I occasionally listen to a podcast that reviews basically any and all movies that are adapted from comics and they take their name from the exact issue you mentioned, Not Another Origin Story. I guess it shows that even among the people that really enjoy and are passionate about superhero movies constantly redoing the origin is a tired act.

There’s a lot of good anime series out there. Those for grown ups are about a ratio of 1/5 but they are there.
