    Of course it isn’t an exact parallel. Jews fleeing persecution were given a country in another people’s land. Palestinians fleeing Gaza are being sent back.

      Were there no jewish people living in israel prior to 1948? Do the Jewish people have no historical claim to Israel?

        So if I live in a country then I’m free to bring in everyone considered the same ethnicity as me from anywhere else in the world because of my historic precedent?

        The Jewish people living in Palestine at the time were largely ostracized by the immigrating European Zionists. Correct, the Jewish people have no historical claim to the area, given that said claim was won through brutal conquest and genocidal subjugation of the people who already lived there.
