We’re kept being told that Ukrainians want to fight, but the reality is that the Ukrainian regime is forcing people to fight against their will. This is what the west is supporting in Ukraine.

The term “Slava Ukraini” originated from a far right theorist back in the 1910s and was frequently used by far right nationalist groups and Nazi organizations. In particular, “The greeting “Glory to Ukraine!(Slava Ukraini) Glory to the heroes!” became an official slogan of Stepan Bandera’s Nazi-allied OUN-B in April 1941. During World War II, Ukrainian nationalists often used it in addition to a roman salute.”

The comment above is promoting fascism.

What is the context of the phrase now? Context is everything and you can’t just point at the history books and twist the meaning of what someone said.

Languages change and morph over time. They always have.

The context is that this phrase is commonly used by neonazis and the far right in Ukraine today. Stop trying to whitewash fascists, it’s not a good look.

You’re being factually disingenuous so it’s kinda funny to throw that up as if you have merit in the argument.

                But hey, tankies gonna tankie.

I’m not being factually ingeniousness at all, but if you feel the need to lie to whitewash nazis then what else is there to say about you.

No, you’re using an out of date historical anecdote to generalize all usage of Ukraine’s national slogan as pro Nazi. Way to drink the Russian Koolaid! The list of people that use the slogan that aren’t Nazis is far larger and includes the Ukrainian President of … Jewish descent. It’s sad that the Mods fell for this.

If someone asks, “Who drinks water”, and you say “Nazis drink water” implying that only Nazis drink water when obviously it’s not an exclusive argument, that’s being factually disingenuous.

So yes, you’re being disingenuous with how “Glory to Ukraine” is used in the majority of cases these days.

If you think that means I’m a Nazi apologist then you’re either a troll or mentally deficient at observing basic logic and nuance.

What is the context of the phrase “Heil Hitler” now? Context is everything and you can’t just point at the history books and twist the meaning of what someone said.

Every country has a far right nationalistic group. That by no means is justification for invading a sovereign national and slaughtering its people.
