The only person laughing is usually the person who made the joke and it’s generally just irritating to everyone else who just wants to get on with their day. I might feel differently if we like, got the day off work for April Fools Day I guess

Do you not normally work on April 1st if it doesn’t fall on a weekend or Easter Monday?
That was my whole point, I could just ignore all the horrible “jokes” if I didn’t have to work that day but I generally always do

Holiday in the US means “A thing we celebrate” not “a break from the ceaseless grind of capitalism”.
