    Caffeine basically triggers your awake receptors. Your body adapts and makes more of those receptors, meaning you still need your regular awake chemicals plus caffeine to feel normal.

      If by “triggers awake receptors” you mean blocks receptors associated with sleep induction, then yes. But you basically have the mechanism backwards.
