In the most recent Kurzgesaght video I watched, they advertised ground.news. I generally ignore ads but this one seemed kind of interesting. Does anyone else have experience with it? What do y’all think about it? Has it influenced anyone’s viewpoint? If so, how?
Wow, I just scrolled through the front page and it was 100% depressing/anxiety-inducing news.
I don’t think I want this in my life.
Had a short look at it some time ago, but it seemed really US-centric, so I didn’t look at it much further.
Had another short look through it, doesn’t seem as US-centric as my memories led me to believe. I don’t necessarily disagree with their stated mission, but I’m not sure whether it’d provide much more information than a well curated rss feed of sources.
They also seem to want a monthly sub, and I don’t think it comes with access to any premium news sites (at least they don’t state it explicitly). I’m not quite sold.
