“I’m not ruling anything out, because we are facing someone who is not ruling anything out,” said French President Emmanuel Macron when asked if he stood by comments earlier this year not excluding the sending of Western troops that sent shockwaves around Europe.

Macron said “if Russia decided to go further, we will in any case all have to ask ourselves this question” of sending troops, describing his refusal to rule out such a move as a “strategic wake-up call for my counterparts”.

He described Russia as “a power of regional destabilisation” and “a threat to Europeans’ security”.

I’m sure all three Baltic nations would be right in there behind them if France goes first.

The armies of the Baltic countries are tiny for the scale of this war. The most relevant country in the region would be Poland.

They have a combined population of 6 million, so not big even combined, but big enough to help make a difference.
Just like they are helping with lots of aid to Ukraine, despite being small countries, their efforts make a difference.

Yeah I was more thinking if you’ve 4 nations committing it would be way easier for a 5th. Poland would definitely be a likely candidate.

Absolutely, the Baltic countries have been very strong contributors already, they are 100% sure lifting above their own weight.
