I don’t think it can be attributed to culture wars, most of the bans started before she had given her blessing so they were pretty fair as people had been using her image without consent for 40 years. I’m more surprised by the fact that the bans haven’t been overturned since she came out in favor of it.
See below. We don’t disagree. It’s a good move, the hype is the problem. It feels wrong. It should have been removed as it was the right thing to do. I’ve seen a lot of stuff about this recently from people who feel the need to chirp about a woman that wanted privacy.
