I also read the funny pages as a kid. I also saw rated R movies when I was 10. I was not always the intended audience. The humor in comics was classically pretty dated and made obvious for broad appeal. I mean Cathy? Family Circus?
No because millennials weren’t published cartoonists in 1990 nor were they the intended audience.
i used to read the funny pages when i was like 5 back in the 90s, so whether I was the intended audience or not, that kind of humor still got to me.
