“More and more people are waking up to realize, we do not want private insurance companies to be in control of our healthcare system,” said one advocate who attended the latest Sanders Institute Gathering.
I thought that was a meaningful quote. I also liked the historical reference by Walter Cronkite about the U.S. healthcare system being neither healthy, caring, or even a system to begin with.
I hope things change sometime soon so that all families have healthcare. I believe we can do this.
Have you read about the International Covenant on Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights yet?
Based on my understanding, that treaty will require us to have universal healthcare and social security.
