“important job”
For people who like museums, otherwise most people don’t care and most (if not all) of the stuff we do everyday doesn’t rely on knowledge gained from archeologist findings.
😬
Eh not completely true as there is a thing called “history” we all have to/had to learn and is kinda important and archeologists play a major role in there . So its not only for people who like museums .
Archeology does not build infrastructure to make people’s lives easier but neither does any form of entertainment like Cinema, Music, Theater, Museums and others.
Medicine law and engineering are wonderful jobs, and necessary to live. But Art, History, Philosophy and Music are things we live for
It’s fine if you’re not a fan of it, but it’s quite childish to think certain things are of less value because you personally don’t like it.
History also helps us with politics and philosophy.
I studied history 😉
I guess I didn’t make the sarcasm obvious enough 😂
Oddly specific. Is this a fetish?
I think it’s related to the tumblr post about killing a geologist
how to hook up with an archaeologist:
Are you an archaeologist?
Cause I have a very large bone for you to examine.Actually it’s not technically a bone but the people at the time pretty much agreed it would be called that colloquially
which was the fashion at the time
Aren’t paleontologists the ones that deal with bones?
/Ducks
one very large duck bone or 100 tiny duck bones?
Well? It’d have to be a large duck bone to hide behind, so…. Let’s go with that.
Maybe from this guy?(do rubber ducks have bones?)
I’m going to politely suggest that “not falling into pitfall traps” falls under those boilerplate job duties nobody reads or gives a fuck about.
Just saying, it may be a relatively uncommon job duty…. But it is one.
Look if you want me to just stay alive on the job you’re gonna have to put that in my contract and pay me for it
If it was not clearly identified, even if I see it, I’ll intentionally fall in it to have an OSHA-paid vacation.
It falls (ha) under “Other duties as assigned” in the job description.
