Considering the guy in question is being faced with rape/pedo/corruption allegations they could have probably just shut the fuck off and not saying a thing but i guess they must remind the public and his friends in power where his alliance lies
It’s these things that really make me worry that Lemmy is too left, or at least too authoritarian-left.
I feel like I couldn’t be more left without descending into lunacy, I agree with the spirit of these things, but boy do people really like to take it too far.

My conservative 70 year old grandma hates Trump and says she’s surprised he hasn’t been shot every time he’s mentioned, and she’s been saying it since 2018. She hates trans people and she’d still be on the same side as the people in this thread saying “too bad he missed”. The people saying political violence is bad are further right than anyone I’ve ever met in meatspace.
the problem is you can’t defeat fascism by murdering fascist dictators. or even by them committing suicide like that failed artist bitch boy did. he may have lost the war but fascism clearly survived, even won WW2.

exactly, no sane public figure, regardless of their actual thoughts, is going to publicly support the assassin, that’s how you land on all watch lists before you even hit post tweet, that’s how you cripple your influence and any chance at changing things
