It’s never been a democratic process in the democratic party. Before 1972 there was no illusion and they literally called the primaries “beauty pageants.” Biden was elected in the primary with as much legitimacy as Putin or Xi. If you threaten all viable challengers into not running ala Putin; limit the ballot access ala Hong Kong such that in states like NY there was ONE box, “Joe Biden” on the ballot; and literally don’t even hold a vote in 6 states, including Florida, ala North Korea, it’s not surprising that you “win,” but it’s certainly not democratic.
