Shaming an asshole for dressing as a woman is still shaming someone for dressing as a woman. Regardless of how you justify it.

Pointing out hypocrisy makes the critics hypocrites? Wow then Trump and Vance can’t be criticized for their hypocrisies. That’s mighty convenient for them…

I didn’t say they can’t be criticized, did I? I simply said that making fun of someone for dressing as a woman is belittling those that dress as women right along side him.

Explain the difference to them- not me.

Sigh, yes you did. At least that’s how your statement will be read. It is not anti drag to point out George Santos and JD Vance are hypocritical for calling drag artists pedophiles while engaging in the same behavior. Our ridicule of a cruel person is not the same as their hate for a disenfranchised group.

If it takes you rewriting my words to mean something other than what I directly said-

            Your point is irrelevant.

Making fun of him for cross dressing is making fun of cross dressers. It’s no different. No matter how you explain it.

No one said cross dressing is shameful, being a hypocritical cunt is the shameful part. And defending hypocritical cunts while pretending to care about cross dressing and transgender is even more shameful.

No, you are intentional ignoring what you’ve been told repeatedly.

And as the other person said - you are wrong. They are right.

Sorry you are one of those people who both cannot admit being wrong AND need to be perpetually offended by something, so argue in bad faith.

no it’s not. people get shamed for hypocrisy on all sorts of things. none of it suggests the act in itself is shameful.

someone who claims to be anti-abortion having an abortion would be rightfully shamed for it by pro-choice people, and guess what, it wouldn’t be because they don’t believe in the right to have an abortion.

That first one looked like a guy dressing as a woman for a costume party or something. This one… I’m not sure.

I don’t care what anyone wears, but since these chucklefucks are trying to make laws against people in drag, I hope these get verified and the hypocrisy given a lot of air time.

To me, a typical guy dressing as a woman to be funny or whatever is a different thing than a guy who just generally likes to dress as a woman, and both are much different things than trans women. I have zero issue with any of them. Only part of Trump’s base would have an issue with the first one, but much more of them have an issue with the second, and most have an issue with the third.

There’s a parallel universe where Vance just accepted who they were and had support from family and friends. Remember, be kind to questioning youths or they too may end up hypocritical chuds!

Mamaw was as kind as she knew how to be

“I’ll never forget the time I convinced myself that I was gay. I was eight or nine, maybe younger, and I stumbled upon a broadcast by some fire-and-brimstone preacher. The man spoke about the evils of homosexuals, how they had infiltrated our society, and how they were all destined for hell absent some serious repenting. At the time, the only thing I knew about gay men was that they preferred men to women. This described me perfectly: I disliked girls, and my best friend in the world was my buddy Bill. Oh no, I’m going to hell.”

When he brought up the issue with his grandmother — known to Vance as “Mamaw” — she replied bluntly: “Don’t be a fucking idiot, how would you know that you’re gay?”

When Vance explained his reasoning, she laughed.

“JD, do you want to suck dicks?” she said, according to the book.

The young Vance, apparently “flabbergasted,” said: “Of course not!”

“Then you’re not gay. And even if you did want to suck dicks, that would be okay,” she replied. “God would still love you.”

I was mostly joking but if it turns it a televangelist is what set all this in motion, I wouldn’t be terribly surprised. Thanks for the insight, there is a zero percent chance I read his book!

I’ve been like “Who the fuck cares about him cross-dressing?” MAGA will write it off as cosplay/a joke, and I have a hard time thinking any undecideds would be convinced to vote for/against him just for a couple of photos. Then I saw this comment and it all made sense o7 😅
