Lmao, that’s more than she’ll do. She doesn’t care that he’s a child rapist to begin with. She’ll hand him fat stacks of cash with a smile on her face, knowing full-well what he’s done, and what he’ll do. That’s what she wants.

The less money she has, the better off we all are. Sadly, most of this money will shift into bullshit tech-based ad businesses and not local ones.

I don’t think these crusty old fuckers realizes advertising isn’t probably isn’t going to be swaying any voters at this point. Trump and his team of idiots have him out in front of the media cameras so much and just making an ass out of himself, that’s more damaging than ads in front of videos on Facebook or whatever.

Sheldon Adelson (followed closely his gaggle of security) nearly hit me with his rascal scooter at the Venetian once. I stumbled out of the way and we exchanged dirty looks.

That’s all. I just haven’t gotten to share that anecdote since my “Hooray Sheldon’s dead” party.

Just imagine if all of these billionaires were actually paying tax instead of pumping hundreds of millions into political parties.

      Here’s an idea.

Political donations above $500 should be taxed at 50%. At least.

Wanna spend $100,000,000 buying an election. You gotta pay the irs $100,000,000 too. No exceptions. No loopholes. No getting away with it. If you try, instant audit.

Not through a lump sum, but in tax breaks, grants and federal contracts for her and her company over the trump administration.

That isn’t that much these days. Not only that, but she is far more likely trying to protect her money. The only worse than not gaining power, for these people, is the potential to lose it.

That isn’t that much these days

…10 billion, aka 10,000 million dollars is a fuck ton of money. Unless we have a catastrophic financial meltdown that will result in millions starving, it will remain a fuck ton of money. Even with a vast amount of additional inflation.

Even 1 billion dollars is a lot of money, even to billionaires. So you kind of lost me. I don’t get where you are coming from here.

I’m saying that another comment said she was worth $28bil. That’s not even half her worth and she’s just one (obscenely rich) person.

But the second part was more important. She “only” spent $100mil and is looking to make sure that people in power don’t take away that aforementioned $10bil. She’s not exactly looking to make the money back but rather trying not to lose it(frankly I would consider it the return of stolen goods and she can go fuck herself but that’s not how it looks in her rotten mind).

I agree these statements seem mildly contradictory in severity but the point still stands. She wants to spend a little to not lose a lot.

Sure, though they would still be left with an obscene amount of wealth and would never have to know a single iota of suffering for the entirety of their miserable life. Their perspective is fucked and their addiction is strong so they’re pissing their pants all the same but logically speaking they have not thing to worry about.

So yes, I should have chosen different words, but you seem to be altogether missing the greater point of my comment and are hyper-focused on something that just isn’t consequential and I probably could have just left out entirely.

Worse yet, they’re using these donations as a way to avoid paying taxes and get tax breaks.

Do you think the ultra wealthy would ever, ever, EVER part with their money if they didn’t expect some sort of return on it or advantage given directly to them?

They would not. The only reason she’s doing this, is she’s getting a massive tax incentive, and if trump does win, then she’ll get another historical tax break for the ultra wealthy that would more than cover that donation 10x over at the cost of the middle class paying even more in taxes.

I love how they can just spell out that PACs do in fact back certain candidates and that they are giving huge amounts of money to back those candidates. McCain-Feingold was worthless. PACs should be outlawed.

This shit shouldn’t even be legal. I see their propaganda constantly if I watch broadcast TV. Just doom and gloom about Biden’s economy and immigrants committing crimes with no numbers or sources to back any of it up. It’s straight-up fearmongering is all it is…

The only message the GOP has is fear mongering. If they stopped that they’d have to stand on their record of helping the people, which there is none in the last 50-60+ years.

I keep imagining ways the proletariat could fund our own PAC and buy the elections back from the rich but each time I keep remembering that I’m accidentally forming a federal government again. Whoops.

It’s almost like throwing this kind of money at politicians undermines the democratic process and should be illegal.

There is no way in hell owing this much funding to a private interest does not constitute a gross conflict of interest.
