  • If you are going to leave the tall hedge, I would personally leave the tiles and change the feel instead with lots of potted trees and plants. You essentially have a lovely outdoor room, not a yard. Maybe swap out the large picnic table for a more intimate garden bistro set with chairs and/or a loveseat with cushions/pillows? A small outdoor rug? Surrounded by potted plants of various heights that you can arrange and layer continuously as desired, this can become a beautiful little garden haven that is both cozy and comforting while easy to maintain.

No telling what quality the ground is under those tiles, and I would imagine that the hedge is going to impact growth ability of whatever you plant in their place.

  • Agreed. My nutshell outline above ASSUMES that Dems recognize that their efforts just won’t get passed (or even receive appropriate media coverage) in the current political environment, so they are picking their battles wisely, trying to limit as much damage as possible, and then will try to fix everything if/when they regain a majority.

Everything just feels so wrong right now. I have to believe that “We the People” will do better, get better. And I honestly do believe that many of the representative names on the OP list feel the same.

    1. He hasn’t actually been convicted of anything yet, and due process, etc.
    2. Dems tried to have him expelled months earlier and Repubs shut it down completely
    3. His trial begins during the height of 2024 election season
    4. Dems seem to have adopted a larger strategy of “fine, then you will reap what you sow” philosophy against the Repubs and those who vote for them (i.e., House speaker elections, etc)
    5. Everything goes to Hell in a hand basket and chaos reigns supreme in the US, electorate says enough is enough, and Dems sweep elections in 2024.

    Or something like that.
