Whats the one feature you like that windows 10 doesn’t have?

Yeah… Golden Sun I’m not as worried about - I’ve played that game to 100% at least a dozen times in my life. However, I’ve never actually played Chrono Trigger through to completion - I’ll have to see about getting the Steam version. I can’t see why it wouldn’t run well on the steam deck

I’ve been trying to play either Chrono Trigger or Golden Sun on my Steam Deck using an emulator, but I’m having trouble. The A and B buttons are reversed by default on the app I’m using and get reset every time I launch the app. It’s not a huge deal but for some reason I just can’t get my brain past it.

I’ve looked for ways to change the default but all the online threads I find essentially just say “suck it up”

My wife was telling me about how annoying it is that she’ll try listening to new true crime podcasts and they’ll shit like “unalived” instead of “killed”. Comes across hella disrespectful to the victims.

Recently needed to buy a KVM switch to swap between my work computer and my personal computer on the same monitor. Not a single brick and mortar store in my entire area stocked them.

I’ve had to go ham on blocking entire communities on here with Sync’s filter feature. Reddit at least has so many niche, active communities that you can actively avoid the /r/Europes and the /r/conservatives. With Lemmy, if I scroll through my subscribed communities, I get the same posts for days on end - if I scroll through everything, I get a bunch of Linux and FOSS circle jerks as well as “Tankies”, “Anti-Tankies”, commies, fuckcar communities that aren’t even realistic with the timescale they want things changes, and even more recently some posts from conservative communities.

Like, don’t get me wrong - I refuse to go back to reddit, but I’ve definitely had the desire to just quit using Lemmy because it feels like there isn’t much here for me.

Vue feels like the good parts of angular boiled down into a much easier to use package similar to React. I actually really like it, but I think I do prefer react over both of them at this point. The states and effects just make a lot more sense to me at a baseline than Observables and whatnot

I’ve been maintaining a website that I built for a local nonprofit the last few days so it really hits close to home haha. I originally built it on Angular a few years ago because it’s all I knew at the time. Since then I’ve used both Vue and React which makes going back and maintaining the Angular project such a pain

At this point they’re seemingly all in on Linux. If it ever reaches a point where <50% of users are on Windows, I imagine they wouldn’t even bother with Windows releases anymore

Literally every time I’ve ordered online, it has adjusted the earliest pick up time automatically based on how busy the store is. There have been times I’ve had it tell me the earliest that I can have my food is 1.5 hours out.

If people are placing online orders at your store and expecting it to be ready in 5 minutes, it’s because your website or app isn’t doing what the vast majority of them do - which you need to talk to your manager /owner about

Yeah I’m a programmer at a community college and this is like us. Although we don’t have any apps, we have different web apps that we use. My current job is trying to use the APIs for each of them to try and build cards in one central web app that bring in the functionality from the other web apps to minimize the amount of time you spend going from web app to web app

We must’ve had different experiences with it. I also wouldn’t say it’s better than almost anything you can make at home with an automatic coffee maker - just a lot of it. I’d take it over any of the more common supermarket brands of coffee grounds (Folgers, Starbucks, Great Value, Dunkin, Peet’s, and Maxwell House in particular)

You can usually get it for a dollar with the app and it’s better than a lot of the stuff that can be made at home with an automatic coffee maker. I used to get it a lot until I could afford to support smaller coffee places

That’s my strategy most of the time except during prime time Oklahoma Summers and Winters. Once it’s over 100 or below 10, it becomes a max heat/cool game otherwise it would do nothing to combat the temperature
