Geezus! Osasuna almost scored again! Like, that is the fourth shot alone i think Jorgensen has stopped! If this ends 0-0 or in a Villareal win, i think its going to be due to him considering how well the goalie is performing.

Half time on both matches, 2-0 winning Hamburg and Hertha respectively.
First up, i just the clip of Hertha´s second goal, man, today´s not been the day for the left defending side of Hannover, both crosses that ended being assists came from the left. Second, tbh, i feel like if Hannover don´t sub out their left back for second half, they are going to have a nightmare of a game if Hertha can keep doing crosses from there.
Third, dayum i wasn´t expecting 15 shots already on Hamburg vs Braunschweig and fourth, i will say that the only way i can see the latter not suffering more goals imo might be to do a gamble and switch to something like a 3-4-3 because what they be doing at the moment kinda doesn´t work for defense if you concede twice to the other team piling up defenders to get either space for scoring or just scoring after doing so, thus having less defenders could reduce the risk of that happening plus you can have one of the midfielders go down if needed yknow?. Idk that´s honestly how i see it tbh.
ngl this is pretty cool. We have quite the chances of seeing for the first time in history a final not featuring european teams. After all, i think at most 2 could make the semis and then the rest are either african nations or south american ones. Amazing stuff!
i wonder if the second half will be played, like, before we could barely see who played for which team, but now it is even more foggy and like, idk if it is visible enough for the match to continue.
Half time, still 0-0. That was a fun sequence at the end with the number 8 of Sierra Leone just deciding “screw it, i will do it myself” and dodging 4 opponents, even leaving 1 in the floor. Jokes aside, yeah, Ethiopia probably need to rethink their defensive tactics because Sierra Leone are taking a lot of advantages of their mistakes there plus their own improvisation so yep, Ethiopia better find some way to not get put in so many problems, else it might end ugly for them. As for Sierra Leone, not bad from what i managed to see (entered in like minute 20 or so) in defense and progressing the ball for offense, specially the last 10 minutes with how Ethiopia didnt get that many shots. Just a bit more luck and they might find a goal.
So far it feels like while Ethiopia can do passes between lines well and just feel the better team quality wise in completing passes, due to how for the most part (of what i have seen) Sierra Leone have been able to get the ball clean, it doesn´t fully work until they do some trickery like with that free kick being taken fast almost resulting in a header goal off a center into the box, and on the other hand Sierra have honestly been doing well considering they could have scored a couple of minutes ago due to that miscomunication in the header between goalie and defender of the other team had their player shot at the net instead of trying a pass plus that might be me but it feels like Sierra Leone are good at improvising on the fly if a play on the attack doesnt work smoothly to keep the ball going in the attack no matter if a player from Ethiopia tries to stop them. Like, it feels pretty even so far imo.
hello, i just opened reddit checking here and found this match thread plus that Fifa+ are giving a match for free and tldr i decided to watch it since due to international break there aint much to watch plus that i am curious on how do the African WCQ work compared to the others haha.
if i may play devil´s advocate. Dude literally gave United last season their first trophy in five years (and second since the decay started after the Europa League Mourinho won) and is somehow making water flow from stones considering most coaches dealing with a team in United´s situation would be in relegation zone yet United find themselves 8th one point below european spots. It is not that Ten Hag is a 10/10 coach, but like, considering what he has achieved amidst the United chaos and what not plus that who tf would wanna coach United if Ten Hag got released, it just makes sense that they see him as a good coach yknow.
fair enough. Also, unironically but Ten Hag as much stick as he gets unironically is managing to make water flow from stones (that is how the expression goes right) considering Manchester United´s current situation. Like, it would be like if someone managed to get, ie, Everton to european qualification spots what he is doing with you all, a team that doesnt have much to meet ends with, managing to crack the top half of the table or inch slowly closer to it.
like i said on the match thread. Somehow, some way, United are 8th, one point below the european spots. Adding to that the following: Honestly, i get they played 2 of the 3 promoted teams but considering how between injuries and not being good at the game, its honestly crazy they still got THIS close so soon to the european spots. I thought they´d only get this close like around matchday 20-30.
Ngl, i dont know if they will ever come back to first división considering the current second division format (two groups of 18 or so teams, winners of both face off for first promotion, loser of that match plus the teams to go to playoff and the winner of the playoff gets the second promotion) like, i honestly don’t know if Arsenal will ever come back.
A la madre! Yo pensé que el meme era porque a lo mejor con DirecTV tenía mejor señal que con la señal que normalmente tenía y por ende “más señal = más gol”, no pensé que lo dijera literalmente Demichelis jajaj
Oh lord, poor Vietnam i think they got the worst draw out of anyone else. Like, they gotta deal with Iraq, the Philippines and Indonesia which are better compared to them right?.
ngl surprised Ronaldo is in shooting and not Lewandovski considering how sure, Cristiano you can say he had the better career overall, but as whom adapted better to age and what not to not struggle on a twilight of career, Lewandovski works plus he scored a lot too…so imo Lewa on shooting makes more sense than CR7, no disrespect to him.
Hello, i wanted to know out of curiosity since it’s half time and the Argentina match ran over a bit of this one and just curious if like this match has been even for a Brasil/Venezuela matchup or it is just the score being 0-0 giving those vibes
Bro what is going on why is the game still going on, was so much time wasted that there’s been 9 minutes added?
Honestly, i actually would find it amusing that the first time Venezuela qualify for world cup is not through playoffs but legit straight through to the world cup. It would be an epic way, the team that never qualified does it in one step of needing the play off. Man, i said it before qualifiers started but Venezuela are a team to watch because they may not be in quality terms with the bigger teams of South America but what they bring is the unpredictability factor because they just tend to do better in matches they shouldn’t and can even at times make qualifiers entertaining due to them just messing up the table standings by trying to win a match haha. Honestly, off the first three matches where they fought head on Colombia and nearly got a point there in spite of facing the Colombia that as we have seen today is honestly playing really well, beat Paraguay and drew 1-1 with Brazil with these two showing that Venezuela have what can be called inner fire/fighting spirit to refuse to give up no matter what happens to them (the ruled out goal before the penalty vs Paraguay and the fact they didn’t give up despite going 1-0 in a seemingly foregone conclussion vs Brazil and managed to get the equalizer) sorry for getting hyped but ngl, Venezuela feel so far like a candidate for making the world cup

Sampaoli moment (es broma es broma, igual supongo que le tomara un poco de tiempo a Bielsa acostumbrarse a la plantilla uruguaya)
Ngl it´s funny to think how United somehow have found themselves in a 6 pointer, whether that will end is another thing, but it still do be funny how like they have Newcastle next and both teams have to win in case City beat Tottenham to take their spot. So yeah, all of a sudden what seemed to be a filler match per se, has some condiments to it due to being a six pointer haha. I know its early in the season but still, imagine being able to land 5th place this early for both teams, it would be really good due to United having 0 goal difference and that Newcastle have the double of Tottenham´s. That´s how i see it.
