Thousands of upvotes and everyone would be outraged if this was Real Madrid, but they’re sleeping when it’s not one of the giants
They have done many times
How is there 10 comments and no one has picked up on Milan-Juventus not being a derby
Celta are so strange this season, they look good in every game I have seen including against the big teams, but just can’t get results. They look good on the ball, Aspas is playing well even though he hasn’t scored for a while. Bamba, Strand Larsen and Douvikas are players with good characteristics and they have some nice midfielders
But if they keep losing then eventually you can’t cut Rafa any more slack. Still, I think they should give him more time because surely it will click eventually
He’s either taking the piss or has bad hearing those are the only explanations
Unless you genuinely think City’s home atmosphere is better than Galatasaray lmao
The best atmosphere in England is still not even top 100 atmospheres on the continent so it doesn’t say much
But even then, there are much better atmospheres than City in lower leagues. PL stadiums are absolute libraries
Sweden played a World Cup quarter final as recently as 2018, they are still successful even though they will have missed two tournaments in a row
Hungary would be a better example
chance to change it in the next 5-10 years though. A few more good players to add to Haaland and Odegaard and you should do something
People always say this before every single qualifier, if you believe them then Norway would have qualified already. It is very doubtful if Haaland will ever play an international tournament in his career
And still it is wingers like Carrasco and Lino thriving in the left wingback role lmao. Really interesting system Cholo is using with Hermoso being a hybrid LCB and normal left back
Shit graphic yes I know
Not surprising at all to see Real Sociedad and Athletic at the top, they both have amazing academies. Osasuna also very high up which shows again that the Basque country is arguably the best talent development region in the world. Guys like Azpilicueta, Mikel Merino, Javi Martinez, Nico Williams, Raul Garcia all are Osasuna products, and Iker Munain & Iñaki Williams are both from Pamplona aswell even though they never played in Osasuna’s academy
A cool fact about Real Sociedad: They had the same Basque only policy as Athletic Club until 1989 when they broke it to sign John Aldridge. But even after that it took them a long time to start signing non Basque Spanish players. It wasn’t until 2001 when they signed their first ever non Basque Spanish player!
Atletico who are like top 5 in form during that period doesn’t make top 30? Did they just forget about them or something
But if the end result is correct, what is there really to whine about?
You think it would be more fair if he allowed an offside goal?
Wait they could qualify directly without a playoff through Nations League?
But it was offside, so who cares how the ref reached that decision? The end decision is 100% correct so it doesn’t really matter how they arrived at the decision
Maybe the process of reaching the decision was wrong, but the end decision is still correct. So how can you be bothered to complain over not being given a false goal?
If he had disallowed the goal because VAR forgot to check for offside it still would have been an incorrect goal
The keeper made zero effort to get the ball. He wasn’t being hindered at all.
This is a hilariously bad take. He was standing right on top of the keeper and blocking him. Unless Hendry is a ghost how was Simon supposed to go through him?
That is a clear as day interference and only someone with insane bias could deny it
Standing right on top of the goalkeeper whilst in an offside position is clear interference lmao
They are straight up lying lol, I get feelings are running high but imagine making shit up just to force a false narrative
He is standing on top of Simon and has his hand on his chest. There is absolutely no way Simon could have got around him to get the cross
No matter how the decision making process transpired it was the correct decision in the end
No I can’t, it was really weird that the first replays first seemed to indicate it as a foul. I was as baffled as you
But on the later replays it is a no brainer, clear as day offside. The end decision was correct so what is there to cry about?
A bit much considering Bielsa has only been there a short period, before that Uruguay hadn’t been good in years
