  • The problem I have with history teachers (at least from my experience) is that they tend to have a bias on how they teach it. I’d prefer that they just explain everything as is and let the students decide.

A good example is this, the Marcoses. I’m so sick and tired of the Marcos era being taught in such a black and white way. Puros na lang human rights this, Voltes V that. Or if you’re pro-Marcos, infrastructure this, heinous crimes punished that. No mention at all of his complex relationship with the Americans or lord knows what else was buried because the narrative is always drastically on either side and walang middle ground.

  • I’m friends with some atheists and a LaVeyan satanist (which is technically an atheist) and they’re amazing. They attend weddings (and behave like they’re having the time of their lives on the dance floor), have no problem participating in religious practices (e.g. prayer before an event), doesn’t even bring up their belief unless asked, and are very respectful of other religions even if that respect isn’t always reciprocated.

Sa internet lang ako nakaka-encounter ng dipshit atheists (particularly on Reddit), and they’re honestly more insufferable than the most cockshovingly arrogant fundamentalist.

  • Same here, mostly because I’ve been a Mavs fan since the early 90s. I’ve witnessed the entirety of the Nowitzki era and the Three Js, and now Luka.

When people assume a certain team has all the advantages and going to curb stomp someone, it usually doesn’t work out as they expect. I feel like Dallas is going to have a gameplan for the Celtics spacing and steal a few wins. It’s not like they haven’t seen a five-out offense before. OKC had one when Giddey sat.

  • I checked out r/philippinesbad and I actually liked it. While it was designed to whine about r/PH, they at least take the time to disprove why the thread is wrong unlike sa r/2ph4u na iyak at conspiracy theories lang about the moderating. If nagre-reddit pa ako, I probably would have applied there as a dual mod. lol.

And about Australia, hindi ako nakatira dun but most of my relatives are and nakapunta na ako dun. Kahit bayaran mo pa ako 1 million to live there, I won’t. And to think proud na proud tayo na Telstra was supposedly going here, lol. May racism to the point na yung car ng pinsan ko vinandalize with slurs while parked outside on a party. Ang aga magsara ng mga shops. Food is expensive. Insulin is expensive. Lahat expensive, haha. Yes, malaki sweldo but that’s to cover the high cost of living. Pag nagsisimula ka pa lang dun, kawawa ka.

But may mga okay din naman about the country. I’m just saying that it’s not all hunky dory as most people make it out to be. I’m not going to a different country just to start over and slowly make my way to the top. If that’s you, then good for you and I wish you all the luck. But I’m fine here being able to enjoy life even if it’s not exactly something you could brag about.
