S03 was the movie we never got, they just need to leave this one alone. It’s most likely being talked about because Picard S03 got the best ratings of all the new Trek shows. But it was already quite a perfect ending. We don’t need another Picard movie, Trek needs to continue on the small screen with #StarTrekLegacy.
He makes fun of everyone, that’s always been his thing. The problem isn’t about him being unfair to one specific minority. The problem is demanding censorship or cancellation just because something offends your personal sensibilities.

All these fossil fuel addicts don’t realize that their home-countries won’t support human life anymore in a few decades. And they have so much money, that pivoting their investments to renewables would be no problem, even profitable for them and their offspring some financial experts might say. A machine learning algorithm is only as good as the data you feed it. flawed or incomplete data just puts out false/biased positives and some systems will always try to output any data that you might accept. So if the approach really was “it’s like a streetlight, when it’s green we bomb”, then that’s really dark skynet stuff. But Imho blaming a machine, just sounds like a bad PR excuse for getting out of a potential crimes against humanity charge in den haag.
This is the point exactly. The UN is a voluntary forum for signatory nations to meet and talk shit out.
What some people think of instead is the UN security council made up of 5 permanent members (US, UK, France, China, Russia) and 10 rotating members (every two years) deciding on intervention in conflicts, but there can be no veto on resolutions. That’s been a problem in the past, because rival nations just cancel each other out on some issues, making meaningful progress difficult.
People shouldn’t blame the UN for initiating talks. We now know, 121 nations are in favor of a ceasefire, 44 abstained or are too afraid to take sides and only 14 veto’d it and wanna continue bombing, that sends a pretty clear message about what the majority of nations thinks should happen.
Instead blame the nuclear powers for not being able to talk to each other anymore, blame the radicals in any conflict. Don’t blame the diplomacy.
They should fire the CEO who steered them here.
