    Here you go. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-52660591

Like I said before it really depends how many of the people claiming to be sick actually are unable to work. If you truly believe all of them it doesn’t look like many, but from experience I know there are plenty of people claiming sick who are able to work.

Your link doesn’t say anything about millions of people abusing the system. Did you even read it yourself?

I mean, I know you neither read it, nor have any evidence. You feel that millions of people are abusing the system because you consume propaganda telling you so. But don’t you ever stop and think for one second “why hasn’t anyone been able to actually prove it”? Why do you believe things based on what you feel is true, instead of trying to base your opinions on facts?

And this doesn’t stop with yourself. You’re so sure of millions abusing the system that you say even other people know you’re right, they’re just acting as if you aren’t - all the while you haven’t seen or shown any evidence for you being correct. But you feel it, so it must be true.

Like I said, if you truly believe every single one of those people are actually so sick they are unable to hold down any kind of work there is literally nothing I can do or say to change your mind.

You are always free to show me evidence that they aren’t! That would change my mind immediately. Funny how that works, huh? But you know you are lying, so you know there is no evidence, so you say “there is nothing I can do that would change your mind”.

The threshold for claiming disability/sickness benefits is very low in the UK. My dad has been claiming disability for over a decade now, but there are plenty of jobs he could’ve done in that time and I wouldn’t cnsider him disabled. He’s just been out of work so long that he’s become a social pariah. Once you’re out of work long enough they basically write you off and class you as being long term sick rather than a job seeker.

Compared to comparable countries the UK is very bad for this. The reason they keep it up is because it makes the government look better if there are only 100,000 people who should be in work (According to Jeremy Hunt) rather than millions which is the true figure.

The funny thing is that in pretty much every country there are people saying exactly what you are saying (“our country is worse in this compared to others”). And none I’ve ever talked to have shown evidence for their claims, they always say “we all know it’s true”.

But this discussion has run its course. As always, there is no evidence, no facts, no data - only feelings and beliefs.

You didn’t win the argument just due to the technicality that without mind reading equipment it’s impossible to know who is cheating the system. But hide behind your warped statistics, most people in this country know the truth and don’t hide in leftist circle jerks because it’s the only place their minority opinions are accepted

I literally linked an article showing how the UK is struggling with this issue.

P.S. sometimes the data doesn’t exist, but that doesn’t make something not true. The government and DWP have many incentives to fudge the data.

PIP is not awarded due to diagnoses, but rather self assessment criteria. People lie on their forms every single day and exaggerate their symptoms.

The DWP is not fit for purpose, they don’t perform their assessments correctly and it’s hardly something they’re going to admit to. Stay blind to the issue if you like but we have some deep rooted problems when it comes to work. Many people who are feeling sorry for themselves when they should be participating in society.

I’m 99% certain you’ve never even interacted with someone on benefits or visited a job centre.
