Why no one’s talking about the math? Monthly expenses add to $49,000 times 12 equal $588,000 per year. That’s clearly not $300,000 and not even earning $400,000 gets you to the end of the year.
Because the joke is about spending so much money on things like porn and alcohol. It’s just a joke, no real statement of expenses.
